Bio

Oswaldo Hernández-Hernández joined the Barile Lab in March 2021 as a Marie Curie Fellow funded by the European Union. He is a seasoned researcher with more than 10 years of international experience applying Analytical Chemistry to Food Science. He has straddled both academia and the private sector by uniting deep thinking and innovation.

Oswaldo earned his Biology degree at the Central University of Venezuela (2007). He obtained his Ph.D. in Food Science and Chemical Engineering from Autonomous University of Madrid and the Institute of General Organic Chemistry (IQOG-CSIC), Spain (2012). Later, he worked as postdoctoral fellow in the Pure and Applied Biochemistry department at the University of Lund (Sweden).

A travel-enthusiast, Oswaldo has lived and worked in Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, the UK, the USA, and Venezuela.
