Position Title
Postdoctoral Scholar
Manohar joined the Barile lab as a postdoctoral scholar in September 2025. His current
work focuses on the characterization and quantification of bioactive compounds in food
matrices using mass spectrometry and complementary analytical techniques, with the
aim of utilizing those attributes to improve human health. He earned a Ph.D. degree
from the University of Brescia (Italy) in 2019 and then went to Israel and Latvia for his
postdoctoral trainings in metabolomics/analytical chemistry approaches for disease
diagnosis. From 2023 to 2025, he worked as a postdoctoral scholar at UC Davis in the
realm of metabolomics (GC-MS/LC-MS) and chemical sensors.
