Truc Pham is a Master’s student who joined the Barile lab in August 2021. She earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Colorado College before moving on to study Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Colorado to explore the intersections of food and chemistry. 

Her research characterizes underutilized plants such as beans, lentils, and algae using proteomics and glycomics techniques, with the aim of diversifying the pool of sustainably grown plants that can be used in alternative proteins and other food products.
